This is an extraordinary set of 10 Afternoon Forks with Solid Silver and Carved Mother of Pearl handles. As the images show, the set is in pristine condition – a perfect example of what Sheffield Silversmiths could manufacture.
All the Forks are assayed in Sheffield, England. Fork Heads are Solid Silver.
Each fork is fully hallmarked with the date letter ‘E’ for 1947, the Lion Passant, and the Crown. Made by the highly sought after Mappin & Webb. One of the best silversmiths of our time.The Forks measure 14.5cm and weigh 30g.
