On offer today is a Sheffield Carved Mother of Pearl Handled Letter Opener. The piece bears the Lion Passant (English Silver), the Crown (for Sheffield Assay Office) and the date letter o for 1906. The handle is Mother of Pearl, deep and rich with a range of colour reflecting in the light – truly a magnificent piece. Pristine condition. Total length 23cm and weight 44 grammes. The piece also bears the Makers Mark H.G – the Makers Mark for the highly sought after Henry Greaves. Supplied with a presentation case.
