This is an extraordinary set of six Pairs of Knives and Forks with Sterling Silver heads and Carved Mother of Pearl handles. As the images show, the detail to the Blades and Ferrules is magnificent, and the set is in pristine condition – a perfect example of what Sheffield Silversmiths could manufacture.

All the Knives and Forks are assayed in Birmingham.

Each knife and fork is fully hallmarked with the date letter ‘N’ for 1912, the Lion Passant, and the Anchor. Made by the highly sought after Elkington & Co. E&Co only used the finest of materials; this is shown in the rich colours of the Mother of Pearl & the gauge of the Silver Blades.

The Knives measure 18cm and weigh 35g.
The Forks measure 15cm and weigh 30g.

This set would grace anyone’s home and would cost an awful lot in a retail outlet today.
