A Genuine Sheffield Carbon Steel and Silver Capped & Ferruled set, presented in its our Bespoke Wooden Cases (that are made to fit each individual Carving Set).
Handmade In Sheffield by the sought after Henry Howson.
On offer today is a superb 3 Piece Carving Set featuring Solid Silver ‘Albany’ Pattern/Style Caps and Ferrules along with Sambar Stag Handles. Each piece has been beautifully restored by our Master Craftsmen here at The Sheffield Cutlery Shop.
The Caps and Ferrules are fully hallmarked with the Lion Passant, Crown and date letter B for 1894. The Blades are also marked with the Makers Mark H.H for Henry Howson (who used to be located on Carver Street in Sheffield!).
The Carving Knife measures 39cm in length and weighs 195g.
The Carving Fork measures 30cm long and weighs 160g.
The Sharpening Steel measures 35cm and weighs 240g.
This is a very rare set in perfect condition, a wonderful example of the high artisanship of original Sheffield makers, never to be manufactured again.
