We are proud to offer a wonderful set of 6 Table Knives & Forks with Roe Deer Stag Antler Horn Handles, made by hand in Sheffield England. With an estimated age of 220+ years old (based on the style of the palette knife, the number of prongs on the forks and the methods by which these were made ) the set is in resplendent condition.
Utilising the Roe Deer as a handle material – it assures that every piece is completely different from the other. This is a Cutlery Set full of character, history and importance that we have not come across in all of our years trading. The craftsmanship is tremendous, the set is ready to be enjoyed for many more years to come. All the blades are razor sharp – being hand ground and out of the best steel in the world – this is no surprise. The set is comprised of:
12x Table Knives 27cm, 85 Grammes
12x Table Forks 21cm, 65 Grammes,
1x Carving Knife, Fork & Steel – 44cm & 170 Grammes, 34cm & 128 Grammes, 28cm, 172 Grammes respectively.
1x Game Carving Knife, Fork & Steel – 35cm & 175 Grammes, 26cm & 117 Grammes, 28cm & 172 Grammes respectively.
Serving/Toasting Fork – 33cm & 135 Grammes
Stilton Scoop (with a mechanised push to remove the cheese from the spoon – fantastic!!) – 28cm & 131 Grammes
Each Carving Blade Geo. S Jeeves. Table Blade is marked with ‘Shear Steel’. Our Master Craftsmen have thoroughly restored the set back to original condition. The colour and character on the handles is fantastic, all pieces feel great in the hand. A set to be admired and used for many years to come.
