Description

Welcome to The Sheffield Cutlery Shop’s latest collection of Antique Pen/Pocket Knives!

This George Wostenholme Penknife features perfect luminous Mother of Pearl scales, six beautifully polished Carbon Steel pieces, and a Shield Inlay – a difficult manufacturing process completed using a tool called a parser. This is a skill that unfortunately has not stood the test of time.

Includes: 1x file, 1x pipe cleaner, 1x scissors, 1x large spearpoint blade, 1x small spearpoint blade, 1x sterling silver blade – circa 1940.

This is a testament to the excellent craftsmanship in Sheffield’s history, not only in its flawless pearl, smooth implements and crisp marks, but in its attention to detail. The penknife features fancywork to the inner liners, backward to the spring, and also workback to the carbon steel blades. This is something incredibly unique.

A penknife of this calibre will never be made again.

When fully open, the knife measures 21 cm. When closed, the knife measures 8.5 cm. The Pocket Knife weights 72 grammes.
